Evidence abounds that we benefit in myriad ways from experiencing authentic connection with the natural world. Whether seeking inspiration, emotional expression, quietude, play, or a deeper intimacy with the mysteries of life, incorporating Forest Therapy into your personal rituals of tending awakens a new understanding of one’s place in the ‘family of things.’

Inspired by the Japanese healing practice Shinrin-yoku (translation: to bathe in the forest), these 2-to-3-hour guided group experiences offer a truly unique opportunity to experience the dynamic and kindred relations that the living world offers to our bodies, minds, spirits, and imaginations. With the possibility of feeling both the serenity of solitude as well as potential for deep connection, these gently facilitated walks are held in all (non-threatening) weather conditions and in a trauma-informed and accessible style as taught by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.

These trauma-informed, accessible guided walks are NOT exercise; please dress in layers for extended and sedentary outdoor conditions. While you will not need your bag, wallet, or devices (please keep them silent and out of sight), water, sun protection, and bug spray for your comfort is recommended.

*PRIVATE, DESTINATION and GROUP Forest Therapy sessions available by request. Please contact me for details via text: 347-284-9708.

‘The forest therapy walk was so nourishing! I'm always so surprised and grateful for what Sara helps me bring to the surface. I got in touch with the little girl inside me that I packed away so long ago. I found gratitude in the sound of water, in the sight of slate drifting like leaves to the bottom of the stream, and in the crunch of the earth beneath my feet. It was a beautiful multi-dimensional sensory experience! And it made me view my children through a special new lens.

I would 100% recommend this offering, again and again and again.’

‘This experience will benefit everyone! However we know a place, rarely do we have this quality of attention at such an unbroken length. To be introduced to the land as one might hear unknown stories of an elder family member which are a privileged glimpse into their life before you, is simultaneously humbling and an honor. To be directed to a singular quality of the richness that exists whether or not we are available to receive it and then feast on it like a family meal, is a gift. To walk and explore alone together is a vital practice in remembering our communal nature and our collective "place in the family of things". And to do these living rituals with a true priestess, one who's tree of abundance inside her is heavy with the ripe fruit of reverence for the earth and its richness, is to walk with the divine reflection. Sara's attunement to her inner life, her body, and the greater body of the environment make this expression of her work an effortless gift to her community. Her attention to detail in everything from the quality and cadence of her voice leading me in, to the gentle excitement with which she brought me back from my exploration to share insights, and the heartfelt culmination over warm mint tea was all heavenly. Highly and absolutely recommend.’
